Answer # did you code it already or your car comes with the close/open window via the remote? if you applied the code, it will close/open the window via the remote.

Second, I can configure the door unlock when ignition is turned off in the idrive settings (or am I confusing this with something else?)

Answer # For my car, i have comfort access, and if i turn off the car (push the start/stop button), before coding, it won't unlock the door for me. but after I change that, it will.

I like the idea of the mirrors folding/unfolding when the car is locked.

And what is the corner delete ?

Answer # if your car is in UK, you dont have to do that. it's only USA car.

Is there an independent garage that can do somet of this coding for me in the London/Surrey area ? [UK] ? I don't fancy having BMW extort more money out of me...
Some of us in the US want to know what the corner delete is? Is that the maneuver that MDORPHIN did to get rid of the cornering problem with the ESC?

Its when you turn off your amber turn signals completely off, giving you the angel eyes only. Turn signals will only light up with hazard lights and when you engage the switch in the steering wheel to turn.

To get rid of that 'cornering problem': My personal suspicion is that setting the 1MDSC module parameter LAT_EBD to 'nicht_aktiv' will disable the CBC portion of the full ABS functionality. So far this is unconfirmed by me nor professionals.

The stripper mirror can only be heated).

The good news is that with a retrofit of these advanced mirrors you can get folding, dimming, keyfob memory and curb monitor all at once. This certainly the route I want to go.

One note on the curb monitor, I'm reading that many users consider it not helpful because the tilting is not far enough down to see the curb. For this an additional (not so standard) coding is possible. (see the BMW coding website for details)
I have a fully optioned 1M, the mirror does indeed move far enough to see the curb. I can line up my rear wheel nicely with it.

Does anyone have a way to default the display to Off?
99% of the time I find it distracting, and I've assigned one of the buttons as a one-press Display Off, but I'd sure like for it to turn off all by itself.

Hey guys, having issues with the ECU restoring default settings every time I make a change on NCS Expert to the CIC module.

I am able to read modules / change values/ create the required MAN file and upload it to ECU (SG_CODIEREN) (no errors) Once done I check the value changed and it has restored to default...is anyone else having this issue?

Running...

EDIABAS 7.3.0
NCS Expert 4.0.1
Integrated SP-DATEN v53.3

Values being changed:

Would it be possible to obtain from a 1M owner a copy of the trace files of the car's JBBF, CAS and NFRM ecus?

I wish to compare them with that of a N55 135i.

Cheers.

You need hardware and software to change the "codes" currently configured in your cars memory. You can find various options in the forums, I use Carly.

http://support.mycarly.com/knowledge...t-is-possible/

Relevant excerpt:

Video in motion 1/2
? on
? off
Enable video and DVD while driving. This is only possible if the car supports watching TV or playing DVDs while standing. In order to enable this option, activate 'Video in motion 2/2' as well. (codable in CIC)
Video in motion 2/2
? on
? off
Only change this function with 'Video in motion 1/2'. This is only possible if the car supports watching TV or playing DVDs while standing. (codable in CIC)

Video in motion
? during driving
? only walking pace
? only when handbrake pulled
? not active
Enable video and DVD while driving. This is only possible if the car supports watching TV or playing DVDs while standing. (codable in CCC)

Disclaimer: I in no way receive money from Carly. I just find their documentation very helpful.

Anyone tried this?

I want to get rid of CBC (Corner Braking Control), and I am not sure which parameter to turn off.

Thanks in advance!

I just got a Carly device since I have 3 BMWs that it can work on. I had my 1M coded remotely several years ago... nice to be able to make updates on my own.
