Hey - another Bergen county guy with the same opinion I have. That's why I have a 128. It screams at 5000 RPM+. It's like two different cars. Pushed hard - the car should be fast an engaging. I think most people just like that feeling of torque at low RPMs, but can never really get on it for a few gear shifts- unless you like going 120mph before you can say holy s**t on the Garden State Parkway.

Zero cost options which would make me happy

1. 6MT
2. Imola Red!
3. NO gas guzzler penalty

The costly stuff
1. About 375hp and at least 350 lb/ft (they are already at 330+ in other applications and you need some comfort distance to make the M1 special)
2. Wider track
3. More neutral handling (get rid of this crazy under-steer!)
4. CF anywhere you can to drop some weight.
5. Wider tires
6. It'll have to have an LSD if it's going to be an M

I'll guess that it'll be $52k base. The M3 coupe is $58k and since the 135 and 335 coupes have a $6k gap, I wouldn't be surprised if it's exactly the same in M line. It also makes sense if you look at the $16k difference between a 335 coupe and an M3 couple. Add $16k to the 135 couple and you get $52k.

-A well balanced MID ENGINE M1, <----A must have
-6 speeds mtx dual clutch,
-The hommage M1 was crazy, the exact car will be terrible!

the rest is almost irrelevant as it will be built by Motorsport.

Man, I hope they won't deceive me.

Not sue if this has been already mentioned, don't feel like reading through 6 pages... On my way to work this morning I realized/remembered how much I dislike the throttle repsonse with regard to rev matching. Sometimes I have to literally shove my foot to the floor to get get the rpms where I want them. How about being able to blip the throttle? Maybe I just miss a high-strung N/A motor... Hope this can be fixed on a turbo car - the ///M1. Flywheel migt do the trick or fuel flow parameters in the software.
