Cool Bmw M1?

How many of you would like BMW to make a M1 just like the m3?

Personally id love the idea.

Let me know what you think?

I think it has been discussed already, an M1 would hurt M3 sales alot so I think that is one of the reasons why they don't make it....

you know someone will eventually say it so........

"theres already an M1" and u cant mess with tradition

i understand wht ur sayingu want a 1 series M, but when me and my brother were at press day at the NYIAS last year we asked the head of the M division about the possibility of a 1 series M and he said, "what would we put in there?" and he right. Having to work under the hood of a 135i is like playing that old board game rush hour, in other words its pretty cramped.

We have a twin turbo I6 in a 3,200lb car. What would you really want from an M1? Would you really want to pony up $50k+ on a 1er?

They are making a M10 which is what I think you are referring to seeing as they already have a M1.

173/184lb weight loss program to get to 3200 would be a start A more track capable suspension out of the box, shorter throws, opt out of RFT choice, a real M car worthy of the wearing the M badge. Mine would have the E46 M's NA I6 or something similar.

what would they put it in? for starters an LSD !!!!!!!

How bout a I6 tuned for a bunch power, and a linear power curve, that does not drop like a rock at 6k. A NA I6 was good enough for the e46 m3 and the E36 M3 and the older M5/M6's

ohh and a hpfp that does not fail

I'd want it to be a couple hundred pounds lighter, have a proper LSD, have wider rubber at all four corners, and Lose the stock understeer.
