Thumbs up BMW M1 Wishlist - What's yours?

Ok, so let's collectively gather our M1 wish list. Here goes. Copy and Paste adding your own thoughts to the list. Keep it going.

1. Manual and DCT both available.
2. M rear final drive unit.
3. Wider fenders to accomodate a bigger footprint.
4. Larger fuel tank.
5. Performance Package Option - would like a CSL version. Carbon Fiber Roof, light weight race seats, deletion of all the non-essential gizmos and gadgets. Addition of aero pieces, functional front splitter and rear spoiler...aka a reincarnated E30 M3.

2. LSD
3. //M Suspension
4. Wider wheels/tires

Twin-scroll Garret GTX4294R
Higher flowing head with higher RPM limit (8000RPM)
LSD
Weight reduction
All solid charge piping
Larger one-piece intercooler with welded cast end tanks
High quality Recirculation valve (no plastic)
Real performance tires
Neutral suspension tuning (minimal understeer, adjust rotation with throttle)
No CDV

This would be good for insane horsepower at low boost levels, and still have awesome response. I think it would sell like hotcakes, especial after some reviews from a few automotive magazines. BMW, if you are listening, build this and I will buy.

Roll Cage, plastic rear window, fire extinguisher, and to be in my driveway parked with a babe in it.

Also, and in all seriousness - factory matte black wheels.

throttle response like my M3 (thats off and on throttle)

Reliability like an e92 V8 atmo ///M engine. (That means i can drive all day on track without overheating and other problems)

if it lacks these 2 i don t even care for a test drive.

Garage List
2009 128i Coupe  [0.00]
- ///M suspension bits, dynamic mode, differential lock/LSD
- 375+ bhp
- Increased (8000+) rev limit (turbo or NA engine)
- ///M DCT
- High performance brakes and tires

What sets the BMW M class apart isn't the power or speed, it's incredible handling ability. I'd want every suspension and transmission upgrade that you find in the M3/M5 to be in the M1.

Most things mentioned here sound ideal. I'd like to see the option of a 6MT and the DCT. Please don't make it DCT only.

I don't think they will offer it with DCT only. I really want to see one of the new Garret GTX line turbos incorporated into the new engine. If BMW is smart they will quit using these old-school journal bearing TD03s.
