Is this an expensive update?? I also have a 2009 135. Not sure if they eyebrow is worth the $$ if the ring lights are still yellow...

I've done this on my 08 e81, and it's an easy job. I did a connection between the eyebrow LED and angel eyes bulb inside the headlight itself.
If anyone is wondering how the eyebrow LED looks like; here's the answer: Should be an easy job to change this with something else. I may change it with an amber one, so it would be the same look as the e60s. |

Any detailed pics of the tapping procedure?
I have them on my 2011 E81 (I retro-fitted the new eyebrow xenons, to replace my stock non eyebrow versions) but I don't have the eyebrow lit up. A couple of local auto electricians have been reluctant to take on the job to get them to power up, stating that there is not enough room to work on the lights now they are fitted to the car!! Also, I love the idea of amber eyebrows, so please keep us updated! |

I'm sorry, I forgot to take pictures of the wire tapping, but it's quite simple.
Locate the bulb that's lightning up the angel eyes, and tap into the positive wire using one of these. Locate the positive wire on the LED, do the same, and then run a new wire between these. |

As well the LED needs to be reflow soldered in place and that cant be done with a simple handheld soldering iron. I might be able to assist if you wanted.
