how much does painting a primed bumper tend to cost
looking to get a new bumper for my 128i and it comes primed how much will i look to pay between for a good job paint job , not a half assed on ....just some ideas i live in boston btw if it helsp

just call a few places. that's really the only way to know for sure. My guess is $150-200 but it's only a guess.

Depends on how the primer looks. Most good shops won't trust a primed bumper and will insist on prepping it themselves. I would say it will cost you about $450 with prep.

yeah, I was just thinking that I have to revise my guestimate a bit higher. Again, this could be definitively answer with a quick call to a couple of body shops.

yeah ill make a few calls later today , ill prob go online and try to find a few places , as long as its in the couple hundred dollar range and not the thousands its likely ill put an aero kit bumper and maybe side skirts as well.....
*not trying to be too off topic but any opinions on how a back vented hood would look on a white 128i?*

That sounds about right. A cheap shop might just paint it without prepping but with no guarantee. There's also the cost of swapping out the bumper and installing the new one if that's going to be done. I recently wacked my rear bumper on a parking lot roof pillar so the shop had a little reshaping, sanding, and filling to do as well. The estimate came to around $640 but with some haggeling they did it for $500 cash. (my deductible so I made no claim).
