Very Nice mate comparison mate.

But pretty sure the M3 colour is "Fire Orange 490", and not the 1M VO B44, as the BMW paint codes are totally different.

actually under some light melbourne red can look a little orange. That is NOT fire orange. lol Fire Orange is more different than Valencia Orange than Valenica Orange is to Melbourne Red, if that makes any sense.

I personally prefer the 1M. I recently saw a top gear special edition (can't remember the episode title, best of 2011 or 2012) and clarkson rated the 1M best car of the year (over the ferrari 458!) I just think the 1M is special , limited production and people seem to just love it. That being said the e92 m3 is nice but not as special as the 1M. My 2cents

Haha same here! I drove an m3 and rs5 and IMO the 1M is a more FUN to drive.

Btw that show was done by Carkson not top gear technically, it's called "powered up" and he ranked the 1M as his favorite car of 2011.

Pro M3 : engine sound, look of the car and that downshift sound on the
M-DCT,bespoke car ,last N/A engine
Pro 1M : maybe 300 in the country but again M3 csl was less then 50, very fast
But
Love the M3 bit more

Fair point. But why ask us in the first place ? Lol this is 1 addicts what did u think would happen. Keep em both if you can, vinyl wrap the 1M if it's just the colour, or sell it to someone that really appreciates it !

Why did you buy the 1M???
Order the 1M since sept the wait killed me
Going past Melbourne BMW and there was the M3 crying to go home with me so next was history
The colour look amazing on 1M look the same on the M3
I will D/D the 1M if I keep it

I saw this m3 in the show room when i was in Melbourne in March! I fell in love too... Keep the M3 and wrap the 1M for sure.
Still think the M3 is the unique car here as its probably the only VO out there! Well done... Congrats!
More photos please......
