Grilles

Quick question - husband is digging around on the internet and found some replacement grilles - but we can;t figure out whether the ones for the E87 would be the same as E82 ones - I can't think of any reason they would be different, but you never know.

All 1 Series Grilles are the same therefore compatible on every model. Might watch out for quality tho, OEM and Cyba's fit the best.

Awesome, thanx. Apparently Turner Motorsport has some black ones and some carbon fibre ones on special at the moment.

Shoot them an email and confirm first, they are good to deal with in my experience.

Can't hurt.

Umm... I may be wrong (it's happened before - just not often ) but I thought the E81/E87 had slightly different shaped kidneys?

Maybe that's a Pre-LCI thing? I don't know enough about the Hatches...

Indeed Harlequin, you are spot on.

The E87 has the 'elven' corner to the upper outside of the grilles, whereas the E82 has rounded corners.

Be absolutely certain when ordering that you double check the grilles on your car and the ones you are ordering so they match.

Well spotted mate. Maybe its non M-Sports versions who have the "elven" corner? I remember picking mine from someone who had a hatchback (I think).

Dunno but after a little internet sleuthing I can tell you that Jude's car has the "Elfin" grilles:

The E87 M-sport does have different grilles compared to E82. It is smaller in size and if I can recall, it has one less clip compared to the E82.

If your looking for the black ones (performance), make sure you order the right ones because i think the part number is the same. The Brisbane dealer couldn't get it right, I've tried them.
I've got them from forumpartsenquiry@cotswoldgroup.com. However, If you don't mind having a used one, mine are sitting in the garage.
