BMW Performance Diffuser Fit

Today I installed my OEM BMW Performance Diffuser and overall things went well.

I did run into one little issue and I wanted to see if others have had the same fitment problem. All of the clips fit with a satisfying snap, except for the driver side clip to the left of the exhaust tip. It just slides into place and easily slides back out when pulled. Once the screws are inserted it fits well and feels snug, but it is definitely not clipped in.

I took a look from under the car and there is a gap where light shines through. I do not believe i have made the clip hole any bigger when I uninstalled the original diffuser. The clips do look much more pronounced and formed on the original vs. the performance diffuser and I bet the original one would clip in properly.

I am just looking for some advice on whether this is normal and if I should return it or not.

Thanks.

Here is a picture.

I have a feeling this is just the way it is. The clip was not broken, but you can see it is not thick enough to clip into the outside edge, where the light is shining through.

Funny enough spoke to a member here who also said he had issues with the center. I personally would align the interior with double sided tape as well.

On a separate note, I really want this piece but am torn.. $1200 is a lot for cosmetics. I bought the same OEM Performance part for my Z for less than half. Knowing me I may still pick this up lol.

Yes I have one clip that did not come to a satisfying "click". Can't really tell from looking, but I know. Mine is to the right of center.
