No it was a white car with Stanced out X5 wheels and he was trying to sell it for way more than it was worth.

However this kit does exactly what you are asking for

5.6k for the parts + shipping.. I would say 6k?
Probably 3k for painting and fitting.
I have no idea why, but prior is wayyyy more expensive than the OEM 1M stuff.

parts prices for the 1M is around the 2-2.5k USD mark iirc.

The few people on here in the states that got it done did say $10k was a reasonable amount to budget for it though.

This reminds me of the body kit for the Pontiac Fiero that made it sort of look like a ghetto Ferrari.
If you want your car to look like a 1M, just buy one - don't be a poseur.

Only posing if you stick an M badge on it mate and go around calling it one. Styling your car how someone wants to have it done is fine in my books. There is no way OEM stuff is only 2-2.5k to get here. Its pretty expensive, you will need a bit over 10k for parts, shipping, rear quarter cut and welding and then a respray + labor. I personally think money is better spent elsewhere. And if you must go wide, the revosport gt kit looks very tasty to me.

Forget prior design you might as well just buy OEM as you know fitment is 100%. You also have the problem that many international vendors don't ship body panels and glass anymore. Then you need a new exhaust to match the tip spacing, then you need new wheels....and new tyres.

Thanks Pete I am certainly not calling it a 1m or doing badging! I have found Kersher do a 1m replica wide fender that fits front clip and 135i side skirts so this will require a lot less stuffing around and give me the look I want which is honestly the front fenders. It provides 15mm more width which is not huge but will allow a square or squarer setup. Kit is comprehensive includes fenders, inside wheel covers, new spray bottle and 1M side indicators. I have got a price of around aud2,000 and it should fit any after market standard 1M front

I still think its not really worth it over here.
Would think its ok in the states since they are pretty rare. Dat Australian pricing doe.
considering you can get 135's for what.. 30k now?

a good 1m maybe $70k still?

and the fact anyone thinking of this would likely have a few grand in mods for the 135

also that the (slightly over) 10k USD i'm pretty sure included all the stuff like wheels, rear battery tray, exhaust etc.

http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E82-135...per/ES2590181/ - shipping would suck a bit, but the price of the panels themselves are amazing.

pretty cool at the kerscher one though, much cheaper too if you just want the front

I've definitely toyed with the idea of getting this done. I'm way too invested in mods on this car to consider starting over with a fresh car (1M). Go for it I say. But yeah, just done stick an M badge on it and it's all good. If I did do it, I'd keep my 135i personalized plates.

Just saw the 1m Raze GT. Looks pretty epic. Expensive though. Probably more than $20k by the time paint and installation is done.

I wonder what size wheels/tyres will fit under those fenders.

not a fan of the skirt vent or rear bumper though.

still think Hatem did the best hatch conversion - full 1M E81.
