ADE Rear Drag Brake Kit
Anyone get this yet on their 1er? Looking to get it to get a set of 15s with bias ply slicks for the track but don't know what wheel/tires to get yet..

That looks like a caliper and rotor from a n52 or euro BMW, like a 323/328 or maybe even a e87 130i, 123d or some Euro XI e9x.
The key for 135i is a rotor that fits over 185mm hand brake, AND that its from another e82, as the hub stick out 10mm over e9x and e87 counter parts. So 123d e82 rotor and caliper is a possible fit that will allow 16 and maybe 15 inch wheels

well that's not something I wanted to hear. Anyone you know of that has done this?
This is from e90post Usually brakes upgrades are being discussed. However people chasing 3/4 mile time have asked me few times regarding installing smaller rear brakes in order to fit 15" or 16" inch drag wheels with slick tires. Now, here the breakdown again: E9x 328i rear rotor is 300mm in diametar with height of 61mm and brake shoe drum of 165mm E9x 335i rear rotor is 335mm in diametar with height of 61mm and brake shoe drum of 180mm Because the drum is smaller you can not mount 328i rotor on 335i hub However the caliper is direct bolt on. So now you need appropriate rotor and that is when and where the e39 528i comes into play. I would say $100 for used calipers, $100 for good rotors and $50 for pads. Already at 50% less. |

Next,Ask any 123d owner that upgraded to all 4 BMW performance bakes to verify. Real OEM will have part numbers for caliper and rotors. This way you will see that the Rotor is same size as e82 128i, and caliper is 128i too or maybe the more robust 328i caliper. The 123d rotor is just with different over 128i that to accommodate the large hand brake. Then you can ask a 128i owner with 16 inch winters for clearance of 15 inch in rear.

This wont work for 135i unless you do the Hub swap mod, to get rid of our wide hubs and become a e9x in the rear.
