Perth Service

Everybody's favourite (only) dealer AutoClassic is "understaffed and overbooked" according to the 15 year old I just spoke to and the ealiest I can book the 135 in for is a ridiculous 27th of Nov.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good, non rip-off service outfits in Perth?

3MW, BM Techniks, Independent BMW (went there once, years ago, for an out of schedule oil change, but understand it's changed hands), Pace Motors (nicely located for me) pop up on Google. Any good experiences with any?

I'll going to Adrian as well soon, great service so far.

I heard good things about German Auto Services as well but they won't do anything non OEM.

Jeez Simon... you must hold the record for the longest original ownership of a 135i in Oz!

Can't help with the service recommendation but I've not tried West Coast yet. My 520d will be due for it's first service soon so I guess I will find out.

BTW - Need two new front Bridgestone 225/50R19's for the wife's X5. $649 each from AC or $495 each from Wheels World in Osborne Park!!?? Go figure that one out!

Thanks all :-) Will investigate those options.

Amk2912, what can I say? Guilty as charged, I still like it, but I AM contemplating a 2012 335i change. AC just don't seem too interested in playing ball at the moment, but I'm in no huge hurry.

I used First Class Automotives in Claude Street, Burswood when I had my Z4. They were very professional and did a great job.

I am so disappointed in Auto Classic. They never even bothered returning my call the other day when IU enquired about replacing my battery. Ended up finding the exact match (capacity, type, even brand!) at a store in Osborne Park and did the registration myself with my Bavarian Technic cable. Battery was only $280 so saved a bundle.

I am looking at replacing the car next year and have no idea what to do because I am not keen to buy through Auto Classic.

Could try a car broker, they ring yards around the country asking for their best prices. I was going to go via this method but just went straight through AC instead due to their financing. Back then in '08 the car loan rate was cheaper than my mortgage!

why not check out westcoast BMW. Ive only had a DME update there so far, but they seemed pleasant to deal with , and charged me half what AC were asking.

I've bounced between BMW Finance and ANZ over the years. Sometimes one was better than the other and vice versa on the next car.

In 2010, BMW Finance ran rings around ANZ on my X5 and in 2012 ANZ ran rings around BMW. Just depends on the day I guess..

A broker would be a good idea.

It's been alleged that Westcoast and AC are owned by the same person/people. Maybe because they're in woop-woop (g,d,r), they have to be cheaper?

Try Gotapproved broker. I know the owner so I had A Class service with my loan.

Referred my mate as well he got same treatment.
