Storing half a clay bar

I clayed my e88 for the third time today (once a year). I have used mother clay bars because I can buy them locally. But since it's a convertible, I don't really need a whole clay bar to do it. I tried half a bar today which worked fine but how should I store the other half? I put it in a zip lock bag after squeezing most of the air out. I'm thinking of pulling it out and wrapping with aluminum foil then back in the bag. It's only half a clay but I hate to waste it with improper storage. How do you do it?

Jim

Zip lock should be perfect.. Didn't the clay come with the little black box? I just put clays in there.

I store my extra clay bars in a zip lock bag and I give it a health spray with clay lube before I close the bag. I tried just the bar once and it stuck to the bag. A little lube and the bar won't stick. Also, the clay went harder in the bag without lube.

+1 with lots of spraying "lube"! I use an air tight plastic box with lots of "lube".

dont use aluminum foil. it will not realease from the bar and could get into the clay and cause scratches if not careful.

I've never had a problem with using some clay lube, and a zip-lock bag. When my mind gets feeble, and I forget the lube, it is much tougher to get the clay out of the bag.

Note to self: without lube, it gets hard.
