New 135is

FYI, my front and rear wheel gap looked huge on pick up ride height has settled a bit and now looks like it was ment. While I would like to drop it a bit more its just not practical with the driveway I have.

Your 135is will help confirm whether there might be some quirks coming from the factory...fingers crossed.

If PPK is not an option, which on the iS it's standard, then I can see why the sticker wouldn't show it.
If it were an option added on I'm sure it would then appear on the sticker to show that option.

Looks like BMW did it to US customers again with the no fog light business.
My ordered 335i Msport won't have fog lights either, but the rest of the world gets them. BMW claims it's because of the extreme heat in the US, so leaving the fog lights out allows for more air flow.
It's really silly. Most of us don't live in Death Valley.
The vast majority of the US doesn't get any hotter than it can get in Australia or Spain, yet they get fog lights.
No biggie though, I don't really need them.

well unless you live in an area with a ton of fog on a regular basis, the extra ducting is probably more useful even if marginally so.

This i gotta know!

I spoke with my CA today and told him about this possible issue. He looked over the 335is which the 135is is supposed to be similar to and the 335is has the black kidney grill (no chrome) and black mirror caps. You can go to BMWUSA.com and in the build your own section look at the 335is.

Its been a while since I looked over any of my new cars windows stickers but if I recall correctly even standard features are listed. I would think the PPK and PE would be there. Can anyone confirm?

I was told the 135is does not get them which was not what I expected due to the release saying that is visually what sets it apart...

That is not cool... Well my CA knows how I feel about this already so if the car comes without these aesthetics I hope then can resolve it. It really does set the car apart from the rest and it would have been something I would have done if it didn't come with the grill or mirror caps, but the fact that it was part of the press release was a bonus.

Not to question you Ray, but I'm not buying what the dealer said! The NA press release clearly notes the grille and side mirrors as being black (okay maybe the grille still gets the chrome border). As others have said, I'm thinking your wing mirrors being the same color as your body paint (they are really CB and not black, correct? ) might be related to you getting CB--just a guess. Sort of like how Atacama Yellow Z435is' get body colored wing mirrors instead of the flat silver like the rest of the colors.

We'll just have to wait and see The Flew's LBM 135is to confirm...

So up until now...all we can confirm for sure is that the 135is will not come with the blackline rear lights....but should come with the black mirror caps, aluminum pedals, black grill (chrome surround) correct?

Well my car gets off the boat on the 23rd. I mentioned this potential issue to my SA and the sales manager and their reaction was we will contact BMW and find out should the car not come through with these. Some of these parts could be port installed items and as this car was in TX it came through and perhaps they did not have the right items to add to it. Your dealer should get you a response and if not I would write to BMW for an explanation and attach the release information. The grills are not as pictured which is odd.

But BM_125:s car is a 125i isn't it? The 135i don't have them because of the oilcooler. At least that's what my dealer told me.

I agree that it is odd. I don't know why these would be a port install. It should be from the manufacturer. I know the port and dealer can install the grills. I will contact BMW. I already spoke to the dealer and was told that this is the way they will come. Mine was the first delivered in the Houston area and likely a miss if the port was supposed to install them. If anyone else gets the chrome edged grill on the 135is let me know.

Those of you who have ordered a 135is, what is the ETA?

Don't have ETA, but SOP is Week 37/38. Hopefully the bugs will be worked out by then

Ray, your 135is looks awesome, and like you, many of us will be PO'd if our cars don't come how we thought they were going to come from the factory.
