Welcome to the club and glad to see you're enjoying your little beast.
This car is a benchmark in some many areas, I love how alive it feels and how connected you are to the car at all speeds, its like you're hardwired in with full control. I also have a B7 RS 4 and the steering/power delivery feels asleep in the low end but really comes alive on the top end (where the 1M runs out of breath and feels a lil nervous- understandably so). One car exposes each others weakness, the RS is a serious performer but it feels like safe/boring speed even at autobahn speeds. I have never felt that with the M yet. I see you're from brooklyn.. I grew up there and plan on coming back and meeting with friends at caesars bay during one of the gtg. Do you go by there at all? |

Surprisingly, i actually find it a bit better as a DD than the 135is was----even though i really enjoyed the 135is as a commuter car as well. No squishy suspension and no bobbing/bodyroll anywhere in the 1M. I like a firm ride and the 1M is very very direct and connected to the road. It really is a fantastic car to use as a commuter! |
