MHD first full write... is this battery charger okay?
Hey all, So Im finally getting the ball rolling on tuning my car. It was a nightmare finding the right android device for MHD simply because I bought a used device at first (samsung galaxy s3) that had a damaged port. Since then Ive picked up a refurbished nexus 5 off ebay for $90 and couldn't be more happier with it! I already had the OBDII cord and OTG cable so I Instantly hooked it up and bought the monitor module which is very cool.
Now into the tune: Im going to flash a tune in the next couple days and was thinking of picking up this battery charger https://www.lowes.com/pd/Schumacher-...c-00ff86febf6c will it suffice being 8 amps? anything wrong it? Thanks for the feedback in advance. Heres a pic of the nexus 5 and where im planning to mount it once my car is tuned!

I have one of these that the car sits on in the winter, no issues when I did the MHD Flash.

Should be fine.
I just use the trickle charge setting on mine, connected under the hood.

I purchased a generic charger with the right amp from Walmart, but had to leave the car plugged in for about 5 hours after the tune to get it charged fully. Straight install otherwise.

Turn off all your day-running lights and pull fuse #70. You'll be right.
Everyone on here recommends the c-tek chargers, but I've done all my flashing with an old traditional 8-amp charger from supercheap auto. I really think most of the problems with charge are from before people started pulling the LPFP fuse. |

I used jump start cable to connect my other car with 135i for first time flashing. I live in an apartment so power supply is limited. The first time really takes about 40 mins to an hour for its job. Just to be patient and never let your friend or yourself touch the door lol.
