Uneven brake wear
Hey guys,
I took my 135i in to BMTech Canterbury to get the front brake pads changed since my car was telling me they needed changing. They called me up this morning and told me they noticed that the pad where the sensor is fitted (LH inner brake pad they say) was worn down much more than the others. I believe he said the others were at 75%.. that's a huge difference. Any ideas what this could be? He suggested I leave the car overnight whilst they send off the brakes to get looked at by an engineer, and told me this could be quite a costly fix, circa $1000 depending on what is wrong with the caliper. I asked him to just replace the pads and that I'll look into it more in the coming weeks. |

Mine are doing the same. My rear passenger side one is much more worn then my other ones. Know idea why. Honestly could just be brake fluid

Is there a difference between the yellow and gray ones. The yellow one is cheaper but is also apparently still a BMW performance caliper. |

Ok so I just called the mechanic and he said that all the bolts were for some reason loctited in, and that a few of them were bent. He thinks the bent ones might be causing the uneven wear.
