It is simply not safe to have people in the back with a rollbar installed, full stop. Without a helmet on, a rollbar is many times more dangerous than the car is stock.
Not only is it a terrible idea but it I highly doubt your insurance would cover the injuries a person would sustain in the rear seat with a rollbar installed. Mark

I remember seeing an E82 chassis half roll cage that you can install and remove at your discretion. Perhaps this is a compromise that could work for you ...
