135 Brakes how good are they

Today is brake day at Advan
After a track day we see all sorts of things some good some bad,
this one is bad see if you can see the cracks in the piston inserts
Before you do a track day check your brake pads and change your fluid.
the pads need to have at least 50% for a days racing with the trip home.

OR $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Don't run stock pads on track days either. Here is how mine looked after 2 track days and 6k miles. Cracks all over them.

So what's a good compromise for someone who doesn't want to change pads for track days? And how much fluid do I need to buy?
I was going to order cool carbons and Castrol SRF fluid.

caliper requires overhaul or replacement, cracked pistons and burnt out piston seals,
maybe the above picture is your answer stu?

After those cracked pads I switched to the Hybrid Ferodo DS2500's with Castrol SRF fluid and ran it in 2 more track days + another 6k miles with no problems. Great for daily as well, little to no noise.

I had DS2500s on my Audi and they worked well (nearly set them on fire on the track but they didn't fade), but they were pretty noisy day to day.

I find that they are only noisy if they aren't bedded in properly. At first the shop put them on and bedded them in really well so they made 0 noise for a few months then they started getting noisy and then the noisiness went away after I'm assuming they got rebedded in.

I am waiting for my titanium backing plates to arrive. I was worried about the possibility of caliper piston damage on track days so I thought I would give these a go. Matched with some ventilated rotors, fresh performance grade fluid, HPS pads and F20 front brake shields I should be OK.

a vid of what?

I was simply asking IF you got a pile of dirt and rocks, you know like a house sized dust cloud pile of dirt and gravel in the passenger front wheel would that have an effect on the brakes

Unfortunately the brakes were sacrificed in quest of blistering lap times

He's taking the piss as I was man enough to drive all nannies off and lost the rear end on a downhill right hander - sliding off the track completely sideways leaving 4 beautiful tyre track marks leading to the car's resting position in a largeish dust cloud.

Sure you were old man.

In a pickle with them, would like to upgrade to something aftermarket but after spending heaps on the car atm I can't justify a brake upgrade... Pete said they are fine to use for street so that's how they'll stay... for now.

Hi guys sorry to thread jack.
Can somebody confirm the OEM rear 135 2008 brake pad part number, I have conflicting numbers. Is it 34216791421 ? The other number I have seen is 34216784808 (has this been discontinued)
Cheers
