All sage advice...thanks....or you can be lazy like me and take it to the Dealer.

Speaking of wheels & tires I just replaced all 4 Pirelli Pzero Rossos on the Cayenne with Continental Sport Contact 5P (275 45 x19). These are the newest tire offering different formulations for front and rear axles. Or, you can go with the interchangeable option like I did.

Great tire, clings to corners like a scared cat on a tree! Offers superior feed back through the corner and excellent highway manners. Mind you, this is in a 4 thousand plus pound behemoth capable of carrying as much speed though a corner as my 1er.
Tire rack did not show the XL load range for this tire, so i guess at this time it is only available here.

-Unless you have a really low profile jack you will probably need to use a set of blocks to drive the front wheels on to get some extra clearance under the front bumper. I made mine out of gluing an 18" and 30" piece of 2x6 on top of each other.
-I use hockey pucks but I will probably end up getting the jack pads from burger.
-A wheel swap sounds like the perfect excuse to buy a cool tool like a torque wrench.
-If your driveway is sloped maybe a set of wheel chocks? They are less than 5 euro for two at ATU. Maybe overkill but I'm paranoid.
-Maybe buy a rubber mallet if you don't have one. My wheels always seem to get stuck to the hub and I have to hit them from behind with the mallet to get them to cooperate.

4 weeks would have them arrive the Tuesday before the Stelvio trip, not enough time to break them in. FML

I wish Tire Rack would custom powdercoat wheels. Their customer service and shipping are fantastic.

Damm man.....its like someone is just toying with your emotions. If it makes you feel any better, yesterday I opened up my box that was supposed to contain my new N55 DP.........but instead it was a set DP's for an N54.

I take no comfort in another's displeasure. OK, maybe my ex-wife's displeasure is just a little funny. But only a little.

I want you to get your DP and me to get my wheels.

I don't want to look like I am trashing the company on here so I won't mention their name. They are actually taking care of things reasonably quick so I'm not really mad just frustrated. This type of thing happens way too much in the car mod business though.

Indeed...

Decided to unwrap the wheel to see what could have been. I'm glad I did: 6 of the 7 wheel weights had come off! Now I have to get the wheel rebalanced before I can install it.

Cool

All wheels present and accounted for. Two had to be rebalanced so I took them to the auto-skills shop. While there I saw an incredibly hot German woman helping her husband work on their minivan. She was covered in grease and had her hair braided all the way down her back. My buddy and I were all like but managed to get the wheels finished.

On the way to install them of my neighbors tired to use the lift while it was... occupied.

Thanks. They better be for all the trouble it was to get them here and mounted.

I dig them, had a woman waiting at a cross walk stare at them hard. Either that or she was trying to figure out why here ears were bleeding.
