Massdrop | GROUP BUY Feeler - BMW Performance style carbon fiber rear diffuser

We have recently acquired a sample BMW Performance style carbon fiber diffuser from JC Sportline. We were fortunate enough to have a local E82 owner in the community step up and let us use his car for the fitment test. From the pictures, the carbon fiber diffuser looks incredible.

For the price we are given right now, if we can reach the minimum order quantity, we should be able to do a group buy on this lip for less than $300 dollars including shipping for people within the US and Canada.

Any interest?

For 300, if the fitment is actually good, and its double sided CF, im in. closer looks at piece would be appreciated. And you would get a lot more buy-in if we can hear from anyone that actually has the piece on their car.

I'd be interested for painted black at / near that price. No chrome and no CF on my car.

Cheers,
Bryan

Fitment seems to be a bit off in this picture on the left where you can see between the diffuser and the bumper. Maybe ask the owner to try and adjust it? I may be interested if you can get a quad exhaust version at this price but fitment and weave quality is a concern to me due to having other carbon fiber parts with impeccable weave quality.

The non-carbon fiber version of this design does not seem to be available from this supplier.

If you know any vendor that sells this, we can go ahead and try to get a group buy deal going for that as well.

The car in the pictures belongs to The Young 1, trying to get him on this thread to share his experience with the installation.

my car in the pictures

The fitment isn't perfect had to kinda force it to fit but this is just a test product. I'm sure more work will be put in to make sure fitment will be perfect.

They've been selling this for awhile, I don't think they are going to change the mold for this GB.

Why make a mold using a one-off with fitment issues? Just pony up and buy the original with perfect fitment and make the mold right...

I have this diffuser and took it off because fitment is not quite spot on. Did a fair amount of adjusting but there was always a small gap like in that picture (i got mine smaller than that but it still bugged me). Also the weave had a couple of big seams in it and the paint on the mesh flaked off.

You can buy a stock diffuser and have it painted gloss black at a shop for less than what this item costs. Poor fitment will override any other feature this unit offers.

I'm in if:

1. Better fitment than in the picture. Sorry, but that looks a little tacky. If you can close that gap, then it's fine. Fitment doesn't have to be 100% at that price, but no matter the price it shouldn't look tacky.

2. Close up of CF weave. I know what JCS/JPCarbon/Whatever chinese companies weave can look like. There's decent china CF and sloppy china CF. I want to see the good kind.

3. If it's actually under 300 USD shipped.
