Ask your dealer, but make sure you understand the difference between Terra Cotta and Terra. You could get Terra Cotta in the US as a special order (no extra $), but never Terra.

I got the Terra for my 09, but it's the middle east market.

Bahraini - How do you like the Terra with Montego? I like Terra, and have it narrowed down to either Montego or Black Sapphire. Don't know which exterior color to get.

Silver/Terra Pictures
I'm considering the same combo but have not found pictures of silver/terra on this site. YES, I did use Search. Anyone have a link to pictures of that combination? Thanks.

well... actually, it wasn't my 1st choice, but it does look good indeed. Gives it more classy feel. I guess it would even look hotter on the Black Sapphire

Silver and Terra/Black is a classic combo. If you like Silver, then the view from the outside will look good to you. If you like Terra/Black the view from the inside will look good too. If you combine them, how could it look bad. |

It's the same thing we get in the US. There's only one brown option for the 135i, and it's sold worldwide. BMW marketing called it Terra and Terracotta in different marketing material, confusing the issue, but it's all the same option code. True enough. I was on the fence about it when I ordered mine, because the pics we were getting then weren't really all that great. I love it though, and everyone who sits in the car comments about it. I think it gives the car a classy, almost vintage touch. Also, the two P1 option interiors should be relatively rare, and might add a little value to the car down the road. |

Sorry, but you're wrong. You can ask the dealers - they will confirm these are 2 different colors - or you can go to bmw Australia and see for yourself. Terra is available on the 1 series. Terracotta is available on the X3. They are NOT the same color.

I interpretted it to mean that the colors are the same. You could actually get Terra as a standard in the 08 3 series. It's a great color, but not the same as Terra Cotta. I would have loved to have gotten it in my 135i, but my dealer and the dealers here at 1Addicts all confirmed that Terra could not be had in the US at all, only Terra Cotta which I didn't care for. Maddening since Terra is still available in 1s elsewhere in the world.

If you go to BMW Australia and look at the option code, it is the exact same thing we get here. We've been over this at least a dozen times, and no one has ever been able to find seperate option codes for Terra and Terracotta. It's the same color. |

Here's the UK borchure showing the interior options.
Notice that it's called Terra here, but the option code is exactly the same: http://www.bmwblog.com/2007/07/13/bm...cial-brochure/ |

Can you go and get the same thing (or similar) from the BMW.Australia site for the X3? It should show how different the color of the material is. I've seen both in person and they are very very different.

You've seen a 135i with a brown interior other than Terracotta? Where? I'm not going to go to the BMW website for every country in the world to prove that something doesn't exist. If you've got proof that there's another brown option for the 135i, please post it. We have already ruled out the US and UK, and proven that the option is listed as "Terra" not "Terracotta" on the UK literature. I just don't know what more proof you need! Brown leather in the 135i is the LWB8 option code everywhere in the world and Terra and Terracotta are two terms for the exact same color. Period. |
