325i: RED or WHITE?
I have just ordered a 325i in RED -in USA elecric red- but I am now thinking that WHITE is also a good color.
What do you think? Is it true that red is less durable? My car will be most of the day in the garage, but Seville is very sunny and hot. Maybe white will latst longer and will be cooler. |

Red is a bad colour for fading, and will age poorly. Also, IMO the red is a bad red, its like rorange. The Imola red isn't available on the E90 , but I like it. White isn't my favorite colour, but for your situation its propabaly the best option with regards to heat.

White is a great color and easy to maintain but I'm also one of the members here that really likes Red.
Like others said, don't worry about too much which color will last longer since you have a garage. I think people will be able to answer you better if you told us what color interior you were interested in.

SUBJECTIVE:
Why are you asking us this question? What's beautiful is subjective, and different individuals have different tastes. Search for the thread that polls color choices and you'll see what members have chosen. I think it's safe to assume people buy what they like. <--- There's your subjective answer. OBJECTIVE: It has been said that the drivers of red cars get more tickets, because that color stands out so much in a crowd. White is very easy to maintain and reflects light the most. It has also been said that the resale value of white cars is greater. ASSESSMENT: Your decision is based on a balance of subjective and objective reasons. RECOMMENDATION: Don't think too hard. Go with your initial gut instinct. You'll probably regret that choice the least. |

I agree with the going with your gut comment. You're going to have to live with your choice for years.

I LOVE AW, you cant go wrong with it, classy and sporty at the same time. If your looking for purely sport get the Red, ive seen 2 or 3 on the road near me and they look very very sporty.

"It has also been said that the resale value of white cars is greater."
The above statement may be true in the US, but in Europe White is the worst color to have...noone likes white and it holds the least value...since our Orig. poster is from Spain...I dont think White will hold its value very well.... In any case when purchasing a car I never think about what the next owner is going to think or how much more I will get for it....I like what I like and I buy to please...hey you pnly live once and life is too short to think about a few hundred buck years from now....In any case good luck...(I think White is nicer anyway...I wonder why?)

great post. another fact is that red is the color to fade the fastest, not black, like most people think. if youre looking for a not-so-common color, get the white. According to a post dencoop, no one in europe likes the white, but as long as you like it!!! i totally prefer it over the red! red should be more for coupes and convertibles |
