I would have preferred a, hello everyone, let me introduce myself and my beloved car, then post a picture of the car, preferably with a beautiful woman in it. Otherwise....

Run in with 135i

Just wanted to send a quick post to 135is owners. I've got an X3 35i with intake and JB stage 1 tune w/boost up 4.5 lbs (early version that allowed me to change boost) Any rate last night both from a stop and on ramp on highway pretty much slightly pulled on a 135is. If he's stock I've got more power, but my car must be 700 pounds heavier, all wheel drive and not exactly aerodynamic. Was a bit suprised by the result as he was definately riding my butt at first and trying his best.

His car sounded/looked great; just wanted to send out a post in case a fellow forum member thinks there is somethign wrong with his car, knowing that I'm not stock may help. Used to have a Cobb Tuned 135i, but dog didn't fit too well in back seat.

Nothing is final yet, but looking at selling within my family to someone who likes it very much. I like it a lot, but I have not grown attached to it as I have my previous cars ('86 325, '05 MCS, '00 323, '05 330).

I would hop back into an e46 325ci (coupe, not 'vert) and live sans car payment, which is huge when trying to afford decent real estate in lovely northern nj.

That is not crazy talk, the real estate market in NJ is what's crazy. I have been passively looking for last 12 months and the prices are back to pre-crisis levels. RE taxes don't help neither.

PS if you decide to sell please swap 1 of your rear 313's with me, doubt any non-enthusiast would care bout my slightly nicked one =)

All of us would hate to see you go, but we support you no matter what you decide. Good luck with your decision!

I would have reservations about selling a car (any car!) to a family member.

Ditto on this. I'd have to have a clause somewhere that says "you are never allowed to call me to complain about anything regarding the car ever ever...forever"

I know, but "sacrifice what you want now for what you want later" is something I try to live by. But then sometimes I go and buy new cars! Haha

Taxes are totally insane. Trust me, my potential buyer is an enthusiast! The car will be well cared for and hardly driven. One day it will be mine again!

Thank ya! Considering the fact that this is the family member responsible for my BMW affliction, I think it'll be okay.

Great idea! Though there's not much to complain about...

Nooo! Will we still be allowed to use this thread? =P You think you might get another ZHP or no?

And I thought I'd share a couple of painful pictures of my US Millworks tow hook plate installed as I finally had to get that ticket taken care of today. =( So painful to see it with a front plate on, I may take it off today or tomorrow. Bah humbug! And I put it on somewhat crooked as you seemingly have to keep tightening the tow hook plate, then loosening the screws, re-adjusting, and tightening them again, but hurt my decrepit hands so much I finally gave up.

Sounds like the fumes from one of NJ's 108 toxic waste dumps he must be downwind from. Or, he's suffered permanent brain damage as a result of constant spinning from donuts all winter.
