Hey guys glad to see this thread is still alive and kicking. I have a question for you fellow Montrealers who are leasing a 3 series. I currently have an '06 325i and looking to get a 335i. This is the the deal they have offered me. 2009 335i Alpine White sedan, saddle brown interior, M Sports Package, Executive Package and USB Audio integration. Comes out to $750 a month plus taxes no money down obviously. What do you guys think?

Also anyone here running a JB+ in their 335i and have you tripped any codes?

Thanks
GC

am i the first one back!??? i went through the JC bridge to cross into montreal and there was 3 SQ cars pulling people for speeding on the bridge... good thing i took it easy and cruised at 65 on it... everyone around me was going faster.

btw, to those that didnt make it, it was a very fun trip!! well worth the border crossing! it was 100 times better than the roads we went on last month.

Lots of law enforcement around.

Glad we did this drive meet. It was also nice to see Kenneth, Nikos and M3 Montreal in the AM before we left.

Roads were awesome, speed was respectful. And participants were great too.
We will repeat some time in the coming months.

How cool it is that I have a day off tomorrow.

Thanks again to all.

Got there to see #94 do his qualification and grab position 4 for the start of the final session. So from 11 AM to noon, no rain... then it was a major downpour for the rest of the afternoon.

At least I got to meet all the members of "the team", have lunch with them, help out, and learn lotsa stuff.

Didn't get to see Joel who must of arrived for his lapping sessions with Bimmershop. I saw the cars parked and ready for their sessions. But drivers might of been at the driver meetings. It was too rainy for me too stick around and look for Joel. I think (and hope) he understands.

Also saw 4 Ferraris, two on the track, and two parked. A Cobra (kit) was doing laps. The Mustangs look like fun to drive.

Next year, I think I will go do one event over at ICAR.
No worries mon ami. I got there early. 3PM, registered and then watched the carts. So much water. Brave buggars one and all. We started on time and ran from 5 to 8:45. Lots of seat time and plenty scary. Lots of hydro planing. No real drama, but after two hours of driving in the rain at dangerously high speeds I was spent. There was soo much water at times a few folks called it quits early and headed home before it got dark out. I stuck it out to the end where we enjoyed a beer and some great story telling. Good bunch of folks.

Sorry a bailed on you guys. I was dead tired in the AM after having spent the previous week traveling across the country for business and yesterdays track time. I had to head back to NH today for business anyway and decided for some quality time with my sweetheart this morning and then drove to NH, through the twisties in the white mountains - a must drive TonyBest !!! Kangamangus Route 112 to Conway from Interstate 93.

I trip codes often with my JB3 but I simply clear them with my BT Scanner. Most folks have very little problems and the JB+ should not trip any codes at all. If it does happen, just drop into just about any autoshop and have someone clear the fault codes via OBD scanner.

I've done those plenty of times... only problem is it's not really a day trip... it's more. So harder to organize.

The driver forgot his visa (South African) so he and the passenger had to bail. Too bad, hopefully next time

You should plan having an instructor for many events, before going solo.
Calabogie isn't the right place to start. Too many corners to memorize. If you are quick enough, you can sign up for Sanair this coming Saturday ( I think )... I could lend you my helmet.

All info needed is here http://www.bmwquebec.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=4114

Or else wait for the LCMT event in August. You'll find info about that on the same web page. If you need more info (YOU always do ) don't hesitate.

I saw your car lined up (parked) but you must of been inside the building.
I would of needed extra dry clothes to stay and watch... it was miserable.

But to go on that flooded track, I would of needed 3, maybe 4 sets of clean underwear... Scary in those conditions. Happy you took advantage of the opportunity.
