moi aussie. me thinks we should start harassing the euro/aussie members down in the hatch forums..

they're better about respecting the power out of non-top of the line models

but did they ever get any 128/328s overseas?

not sure if it will let me post a png link but you can download the dyno in pdf from:
http://www.rri.se/popup/performanceg...h&ChartsID=239

looks great but i'm thinking the 128 torque curve is a bit lower in the lower rpm ranges.. and thats really what im wanting to see/find out

The 128i N52 might be slightly underrated at 230hp if it does 203-205 rwhp on a Dynojet. I would wildly guess 240-245 hp would be more accurate, in the same way 330 hp would be more accurate for the N54.

what % of loss are you figuring? At 15% that is bang on for 230....

240-245hp? That qualifies as a wild guess i suppose.

You think a RWD drivetrain is that efficient? Maybe...I was assuming more like 18% myself. And BMW has a habit of slightly understating power numbers.

Which would put the torque at 210~215 ft lbs or about 5~10% above BMW's claim. I also wonder about this graph which shows the maximum torque at around 4,000 RPM - significantly higher than BMW's 2,750 spec.

Nice numbers considering it has the wrong kind of transmission.

I would guess a 6 speed 128i could put up numbers close to that.

actually yeah, I do, i think it actually does a nice job of getting the power down. I would love for our engines to be over rated but....

errrm, fast enough for me. It is fast enough that in third gear it goes from 60-90 with little effort ....not as fast as the 135, but still, fast enough to get me in serious trouble on I-4 and off ramps.......
