OT-Freight and importing companies in AUS?
Hi All,
Does anyone here work for a freight company that could organise to bring parts in for me from Germany and get them to my door including the customs, gst and all fees? I am currently reviewing all my costs and freight is just unreal how much i spend. I have TNT here at the moment (as an alternative to compare my current costs) and if this chick says 'thats so awesome' one more time i'm going to go nuts. My current freight forwarder does a very good job but i want the costs to go down so i can pass on savings. I have to be a realist in this world of a shitty USD and freight costs are a good place to start. Thanks |

Andrew is it worth contacting the state BMW clubs and seeing if you can get permission to find anyone through their email distribution lists?

Thanks for all the emails.
What i am looking at currently is my Eisenmann Exhaust orders. Pick up is Ex Germany and then to my door. So i'd have about 5-10 boxes and a few hundred kgs. |

Hi Andrew, I will SMS you the number of a friend Roger. His family has done this sort of stuff for a long time, and he already brings stuff in for some local tuners. he is a big car enthusiast like most of us here, and now also owns and run a tyre shop. Have a chat to him.

Andrew,
I have a contact at Schenker logistics. They used to handle all the shipping of our boats to and from Germany every Euro summer sailing season and are insanely great. Let me know if you'd like my contact. Cheers, Alex |
