but now how can people say they still dont understand what i was talking about... the hpf intake mani has the throttle body in the middle of the intake manifold witch if u look at the ips intake manifold it is the SAME style.... what is so hard to understand..
my next question is do u people know WHY it is a good style for a intake manifold?? if u dont here is y..

when u have a normal intake manifold the first 2 runners get 70% of the air that is sucked in.. when u place the TB in the middle of the intake manifold the air is almost even across the runners.. it works like ITB'S... just with out the tuning issues... i hope that clears up everything ...
the stock n54 intake manifold puts the throttle body in the center, as well. the hpf manifold should have more volume, probably better runners, also. i'm excited to see updates for the exhaust, charge pipe/bov, and the intake manifold!

I want to know time frame on stage 2. What is time frame? 1st qtr 2011?

For those who think it would be better for hpf to focus on n55, sorry. How many people own n55 cars this far? Of those, they are ALL under warranty and most will not want to modify. It will be years before the n55 would be profitable for stage 2 bolt on mods. N54 had been used for 4 years and on tons of cars. Lots of the cars are out of warranty or close enough that people don't care any more.

I want 550whp on pump 93 octane at 13 psi with peak boost reached by 3000rpm. Go hpf, go on n54 platform! Ar designs and cpe are beating u to the market. I know their kit will be good but I can't wait to see what u guys do!

Lol, yes, I think it's in 7 also. Seems like I read the 740 is now n55. It will definitely be a huge money maker for stage 2 and beyond mods.

That's glib. There is a time factor at play here and it's not something that should be swept under the carpet.

Its not being swept under the carpet, they understand that the timeframe is slower than they originally expected/wanted, however they are not going to rush R&D on the product just to please the market, These guys spend the time needed to prefect a product before bringing it to the market. We are an active dealer/installer of their E46 M3 product and I think although they may be behind in time frame, they will still be industry leaders when it comes to power and design once their product hits the market.

However I would definitely enjoy building an HPF 335/135 sooner than later!

I completely agree that no one wants a rushed product. And everyone knows the E46 projects / stage kits take precedence over anything else because that’s what is paying the bills at this point. However it’s been so long, with everyone seeing the pics of the intake mani and exhaust, charge pipe and word of the tune and stage kits for our cars we are yet to see anything. Everyone is just excited for these parts to come out including me. I wouldn’t think there would be so much R&D going into a charge pipe as a manifold. However HPF says Dec will be a big month so we all will see I guess.
