Alpina TCU flash

Does anyone know anything about the alpina flash for the N55 dct? I've been reading mixed articles saying that the flash will make it shift even faster than it already is. Any insight would be greatly appreciated

Good day all 1addicts!

I fixed that.

OP... the Alpina flash is only for the ZF auto trans. Not the DCT from my understanding. Its for the N54 auto boxes in 1er's and 3er's.

Here is the thread on the e90post.com that started it all...

It works on the N55....only a few people have experienced "tach drop" in between shifts.

Look on the 3 series forum and you'll find all the info you need.

Indeed, perhaps you should do the same, and if you do you'll see that as Dack wrote, it's NOT for the DCT tranny, it's for the ZF auto, which Alpina uses and developed to speed up the shifts to make the ZF closer in feel to the stock DCT.
There are ZF autos bolted behind N55 engines - not all are DCT.
Terry from Burger posted only a few weeks back on this thread that "It would be nice if a DCT specific trans flash existed" which kind of proves that it's for the ZF auto only.
