I thought 1Ms had the _actual_ break in service scheduled for 1,200 miles consisting of oil, tranny fluid, and diff fluid changes.
1M or not, my car is having all changed out at 1,200 miles.

I make a habit of changing my transmission fluid on every car I own every 80-100K km.
Ive never had a car have a transmission failure, or even issue, currently my oldest car has about 300K km on it, thats my workhorse truck, so it hasnt had an easy life. |

If you are gonna keep your car... I would change it. You could wait until ~30K miles though. Thats about when I changed mine. But even at 30K mine trans oil looked very dark and nasty. So maybe changing yours at 10K isn't a bad idea. It certainly can not hurt anything.
Make sure to read this thread... you want to use MTF-LT-5 oil in your 1M trans. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=620282
