Those of us going to the 'Ring during ED
Do you plan on wearing a helmet when driving on the 'Ring? According to the research I've done, you don't need to wear a helmet unless driving a fully caged car. I'd like to wear one, but I haven't found any information about loaners/rentals. I really don't want to bring one with me on my trip. :iono:

Get a rental BMW, 4 cylinder diesel and you'll still have a blast. No helmet needed, but be very careful. $26 per lap, so take your time between the laps.

From what I've read some people wear nomex and helments and get made fun of... I think the term used was poser.
You are allowed to tow a trailer behind a pickup truck around the ring, I don't think a helmet is required... haha |

No doubt, me too. I'll probably end up running with blinking hazard lights.

When are you planning on going to the ring? I'm curious to hear how it goes, the procedures for getting onto the track, and how much traffic there is.

I'm going on 5/14. I know a couple of people on here are going before me. I'm looking forward to hearing their experiences before I venture out.
