Halogen -> Black line (finally on!)

The difference between lci halogen and lci black-line led is really big. Black line style is simply gorgeous.

Before

After

Thank you for your advices guys with installation.

Sorry to revive a bit of an old thread, but I am very keen on getting blacklines for my 128i with halogens, and am wondering if you got the blacklines for xenon even though you have halogen headlights and they work like that. If so could you point a friend in the right direction to buying some? Thanks, and sorry for the run on sentence :P

I have a 2012 halogen 128i. I ordered the xenon and jumped a wire for the LEDs to turn on. Search the forum as their is an extremely simple DIY to do this.

It took me 16 minutes for both tail lights.

What model year is your 128i?

If you have a 2008, order the xenons and they are PLUG and PLAY!!! The 2008-2011 harness is the same as all xenon equipped 1ers

+1 I had no issues plugging them straight in on my 2011 Halogen 128i. I do recall when researching that the Euro Spec (Candadian cars) may be different though. Might be worth looking into before pulling the trigger.

Yes they are. Only lci halogen models have to jump wire to make leds working. If you have xenons -> PnP

Texted a friend who runs parts for a BMW dealership (US). He tells me that the PN 63212225282 doesn't come back as valid.

Anyone run into similar issue?

It's a Euro only part, BMWNA cannot import them. If you google the p/n you can find several vendors that sell them.

I have considered making this change on my 135i lci previously, but didnt seem like there would be a major visual improvement.

But seeing the before and after photos side by side, its obvious how much better the blacklines look!

Might need to look into this again...
