BMW Club Qld - Annual Border Ranges Run - November 7th

Hi all,
Well, the time is upon us for the Annual Border Ranges Run again.

WHEN: Sunday 7th November

MEET: Car park Calamvale Hotel, on the corner of Compton Road and Beaudesert Road, Calamvale.

TIME: 8.30am for a 8.45am departure. Travelling to Uki via Rathdowney-Wiangarree-Kyogle-Murwillumbah where will grab lunch at the Mt Warning Hotel.. After that you’re free to find your own way home. It should be a good 3-4 hours of great scenery and even better mountain roads. We will stop a heap of times for photos/videos and also to stretch our legs.

WHAT TO BRING: CB Radio/s. Full tank of Petrol and a good attitude. Remember these are twisty mountain roads, don’t try and out drive your ability. It will get ugly. We will stop at various intervals to allow others to catch up. Bring cameras and videos if you have them.

Start point is as above, at the Calamvale Hotel

Note: This will be a fast fun trip; however BMW Club Qld does not promote unsafe driving practices.

Hope to see you all there.
Please let me know if you are coming, as we need to pre-warn the hotel for lunch numbers.

Ian Solomon
President
BMW Club Qld.

Good to hear it's on the 7th. I was under the impression it was on the 6th and i wouldn't have been able to make it. I'll be coming Is it strictly BMW's or can other euro's attend.

My friend brought his Ferrari 355 last year i'm sure he will be keen to come again if thats alright?

Other cars are welcome. We seemed to lose the Fezza last year, what happened to him?

As in the first post, we are going to the Mt Warning Hotel, then you find your own way from there. So the 'after lunch' part of the run is not included.
We'll be taking a slightly different route this time, to avoid the catle grids.

It's locked in and el Presidente has been notified. I fitted some new springs and struts a few weeks ago and this will be my first good run with them.

It took longer to get it off my driveway than my car. Nothing the old karcher couldn't handle car is spotless again. I got some very strange looks on the highway back. There was a couple in an e90 that were pointing and staring at my car, they almost ran into the car next to them. haha!
