E88 donut or full size spare in trunk

Does anyone know what full size spare or donut fits in a e88 vert trunk and allows the convertible top compartment to still be open making some long trips and would rather grab a donut or tire from junkyard 128 or other bmw

They came standard with run-flats so there was never any planning for a spare.
I would think if you wanted any trunk space for luggage that a donut would be your best bet. Easy to see if a full-size tire and wheel will fit just by measuring the space and one of your wheels/tires. Don't forget that to be of any use, you'll also need a jack and a tire-iron. Many BMW suppliers offer full kits.

Yea I just wanted to make sure the junkyard tire I choose actually fits wheel

Check the date. I had a "temporary" spare blow out on my van even after checking the pressure before mounting it. It didn't go 8-miles.

The vehicle's tires had only 1,200 miles on them from when my Mom purchased them at a large Goodyear dealer in St. Louis near her retirement community. The first flat occurred in my driveway one-day after moving the vehicle from the retirement community. Problem was they sold her 8-year-old tires even recording the date code on their BOS. Goodyear told me the warranty was only good to the original purchaser and I was moving the vehicle after my mom had died, so I didn't count. An irate call to the large tire and repair chain in Missouri gave me little satisfaction. They said there was nothing wrong with selling an 80-year-old woman 8-year-old tires as long as they had been stored properly. I received only slightly more satisfaction from my conversation with Goodyear.

And you're going to depend on a junk-yard tire?

I meant I was going get a junkyard rim and replace the tire , that's usually what I do to most my cars I just need to know what fits in a e88 since less trunk space

you will need a spacer to fit the rear rim on the front, if ever used a spare. I think it's a 10mm minimum. Search under square setups. I don't think a front will fit the rear.

I have no spare tire on neither of my cars. I only have Roadside assistance thru my insurance . Besides You dont want to be changing a tire out on the roads these days. It’s too dangerous.

If i was desperate I would but once of my snows in the trunk.
But that would take up essentially the entire trunk.

i bought an E90 spacer saver kit. Comes with a biscuit wheel, jack, nuts....actually i need to confirm all of this but fundamentally it takes up the boot.
I can put things on top. managed to still get 2 small suitcases in. lots of shopping. still a pretty good functioning boot.

I went with a spare tire repair kit and some tools. Keep a battery compressor in the car and hope for the best.
