I already spoke to the dealer and was told that this is the way they will come. Mine was the first delivered in the Houston area and likely a miss if the port was supposed to install them. Ship arrives 8/23/12 and looking at a delivery date of 9/1/12, but the dealer will have it sometime next week and I will go there and have a look see!

Just curious to see if anyone gets the gloss black grills and mirror covers without having to have it "fixed" at the dealer. Since mine is CB I don't mind the mirrors but I'd really like the grills and will likely buy them.

It looks like they are adding it into the site shortly. They have a link on the left side of the page but it is not pointing to anything yet.

The site is so far behind on all products. Go to the dealer if you want the full spectrum of options - they can print it out by car and model in detail.

Finally, the website is up!

Looks like my AW 135is should be getting the blk side mirrors. The grille unfortunately looks to have the chrome boarder. And it looks from the rear that we get blacklines!

Perhaps, blk 135is' get body colored side mirrors...

This is good news!

However I now have some doubts:
I'm a little worried that they may be screwing up the orders per OP's car.
Is there any way of finding out if we do in fact get blacklines besides the picture?

Okay, another guy just picked up his LBM 135is. His car came equipped with the black side mirrors, but it looks like our 135is' aren't getting the performance kidney grilles (at least the ones that are completely black, e.g., 335is)

And despite what happens when you Build Your Own (yes, I know you can't base anything on the website's pictures), this guy's 1er didn't come with the blacklines and he didn't even get the metal pedals!

I think the wrinkles are still getting ironed out with the first few NA-spec 135is', since how is it two recent 135is builds did not arrive with the same standard equipment. So maybe there is still hope for those of us with builds next month.

I noticed that he didn't get a 6MT. Since he doesn't have a clutch pedal they probably didn't install the Metal Pedals. I ordered a 6MT hope the pedals are the right ones.

True, but when you build it online, metal pedals are pictured for both manual and auto cars.

The irony, is the press release pictures only show the "dead pedal" as metal

Well, I'm working out of town, but Saturday I'm going to talk to them about the exhaust tips, mirrors, and tail lights. I see they changed the grill last minute but really guys lets get the whole car right... On the Features and Specs page "Black chrome-plated exhaust tips" I have NO exhaust tips...

@ray731 I'm not sure about your exhaust tips, but I believe carbon black is the only color on the 135is that gets body colored mirrors. It even shows up like that on the BMW website.

Yep. This is one of the documented changes across the line for MY13. I know some people may prefer this -- even non-smokers who want the extra 12V jack -- but I don't like the smoker's kit because I always slip my smartphone in that open tray and it fits perfectly without moving around.

Does anyone know how hard it is to replace the smokers kit with the simple open tray? I wonder if dealers frequently do this (or the reverse).

On BMW's site it states it under features of the 135is. Black Chrome plated exhaust tips.

thats what i did in my MY11. i would probably be interested in trying to trade this out for the open cubby... way more useful lol.

So there is a "smoker's package" option that gives you the lid and the additional 12V port?

My 2012 135i Convertible has no cover on the box. But the box is larger and rubber lined so I can put my sunglasses in there.

Not per the items on the sticker. My wife has a 2012 128i auto and it does not have this. My 2013 135is is a manual. I don't know if it is just a contenting difference 128i vs 135i / 135is, a manual vs auto difference, or 2012 vs 2013 difference. It is not an "option". I have the option list from when I ordered the car. I ordered a 135is with the Premium Package, Carbon Black, Executive Interior.
