JZW- Ecu stg 4 makes 447whp
Tested a Rb turbo set up recently, it was an Auto and the customer wanted it on the concervative side, we set the fueling up a little richer than I like to run with E30 fuel and I was able to find the rear 02 sensor code stuff and turn that off in the ecu, no cel yet :-)
Car makes good power for an auto and we put down 447whp and 449wtrq on a mildish stg 4 tune that still shows little timing pull and a little rich for how I normally tune this fuel. Car is a blast to drive, just nail it and hold on with the tail wagging all over the place, quite the rush :-) I like these RB turbos, but if I am going to drop my motor and put on larger turbos, would like more than a 50whp gain. I hope that ETS can come up with a turbo kit that will allow us to put down 550+ whp and then it should be a beast of a set up, JZW |

Of all people, ETS could put together a helluva turbo kit. Unfortunately the GT-R crowd has their ear and I personally wouldn't change my priority from that.

What are the mods on this car besides the rb turbos? Was there any modification done to the fueling system?
Theres probably another 50whp in there if he had meth for fuel. |

I would personally guess its 93oct fuel. There is so much more to be had with an E40-50 blend and lpfp if its needed. That's really good numbers for pump if that's the case.

Those numbers seem real low. And what do you mean by stage four tune? Is there a stage 1, 2 and 3 tune?

Yes, you can find my stuff no problem, been posting all around, stg 1 is ecu tune only and made 350whp, stg 3 is exhaust and IC and tune and made 413whp, this is a concervative RB tune on an auto, the guy does not want to push it too hard. 450whp on E30 is pretty good, if you can get close to 500whp with full E85, E30 and 450 on a mild tune with 15-16psi is doing well I think.
You can see the power is climbing all the way to redline :-) Once I get my car going with some new turbos it will show the real potential and then there will be more RB turbos. I would like to see what they can do when I get someone that wants to see what they can really put down. Every dyno is different too, could read different on a different dyno, but he came up well from stock at 293whp to this 447whp with RB turbos and a nice running smooth concervative stg 4 tune, JZW |

Here is my car with E30 and stock turbos, exhaust and ETS IC, put down 416whp, so this did not make the RB guy very happy, I think he will let me turn it up some more soon, but they basically wanted it on the concervative side, not leaner than 11.7 and not much timing either. Convervative. Here is my car running with good power with stock turbos, its a blast on the road ! JZW |

I don't think I've seen an N54 run straight E85 without issues, so if you do get this done, please update us. The only 500whp+ RB cars are the ones who use meth as well.

I will definitely be working on it, I have access to all the maps in the file, many more than what you get with a Cobb system and I hope to be able to get it to run well. We have had issues with the Saabs and E85 on cold starts when its cold, but I was able to tweak the start up ignition maps and start up enrichment maps to get it much better and they can make a solid 50whp over gasoline no problem.
I will be working with all kinds of set ups, want to tune a larger twin turbo system, maybe twin disco potatoes or something or a nice single turbo manifold and see how that will run. I see a lot of stuff in the 02 sensor balancing and I could turn some of the balancing or adaptation completely off, but I think the easiest way to do it is to just run the two front 02 sensors pre turbine so you can keep the pick up of each bank seperate and allow it to do its balancing like normal. I think a 550whp to 600whp car would be enough for this car, you would never be able to hook it up much more anyway. The tunes are running very well so far, lots of data logging on the road and dyno runs and I just got access to more descriptions in a new a2l. I would like to see how it will do on full E85, have run WM before and it was a pain to keep that system tuned and maintained and I personally have gotten better power out of E85 than I did with meth injection, but never did try both, did not feel it was needed, ran a buttload of timing with E85 and the torque was insane ! Should be a lot of fun, loving the potential of this N54 set up ! JZW |
