I cannot fully provide you with definitive proof of this, but I would put money that red cars get more tickets than any other color car nationwide. And if I'm wrong, I'm wrong....whatever...

No problems with cops yet driving my ER car around, though I've only had it a month or so. I think that's as much myth as fact. Anyone else care to chime in?
No baby, but you're getting a 4-door sedan? Nothing wrong with that, but it's a puzzling choice. People buy 4-door sedans because of their families, so until the coupe and convertible come along, an E90 broadcasts MARRIED WITH CHILD(REN). If you don't have a kid yet, wouldn't you rather drive a Boxster or a Z4 for the same amount of money? On the other hand, driving a family car would help keep the loser guys away... |

I'm with nrg09 - I think red is asking for trouble i.e. cops and losers. A 19 year old girl in an 06 BMW will attract enough attention as it is. Silver is without question the best color! They make other color's?
I had a red car as a rental for about a week, and having it in my peripheral vision quickly became annoying.

The pictures don't do it justice. It's a color you see in person and fall in love with (or hate). haha.

I would vote for the alpine white. It seems that the light colors do a great job of showing off the lines of the new body style.
Even though I chose titanium silver, I have been really impressed with the alpine white e90's I've seen driving around. Michael p.s. Red will probably draw more attention. Depends on if you want the extra attention or not.

I'd recommend the ER with black/aluminum OR black/burl. I have seen each in person and these combinations look awesome!
If you're into sporty driving, and you don't constantly have a Starbucks in hand, I'd also recommend the manual transmission!! |

I have the Black interior and I live in Los Angeles.
"The black interior is hotter" claim has proven to be a myth. My last car (e46) was white with Tan leather, and this car seems no hotter in the sun. I think the exterior has more to do with the interior heat than the interior.

HI,
I have an alpine white with black interior and aluminium trim, I love mine the white color attract so much attention especially in night time and when it is clean. However, when I received my car, the dealer was exposing in the show room an eclectic red but with lemon interior seats (very close to white) black dash board and carpet, and aluminum trim. I am telling you it looked gorgeous seriously beautiful!!!!. So with the lemon interior seats you will have a clear color inside with red outside, on a 325, perfect fit for 19 year girls . if you decide to choose the white, I suggest that you go with the lemon seats to ... very nice Just don’t forget to put some pics

JET BLACK is not a bad option......
Do you wash your car at least once a week? If the answer is "no".... then don't get the jet black!

I'm in the same predicament as you. At first, I was going to go with silver then perhaps white w/ terra/alum. But now my choice is the white or red. I am going to buy around December.
Silver is soo trendy, almost too... Never had a bright red car before, but I think red is emotional like people say, a such a vibrant color. White is clean and pure, but its a hard choice and I would have to see red in person, esp. with the terra. Both great colors though...have fun when you get it. |

I can!
2001 e46 330i Bright Red: 2 years, 3 tickets (all lamo 5 miles over limit on highway). 2003 e46 M3 silver grey: 2 years, 0 tickets. Driven on same general roads. M3 was NOT driven slower than the 330i. We'll have to see how a black car does this time. Quote:

Between the two colours, I would say go for Red ... I've seen it on the road, and it looks nicer than in pictures.
