135i Accessport Install and Reaction

Hey guys,

Just created a youtube channel to document my car build and share some other random shit.

Today I flashed stage 1 with the Accessport and made a video on the install process and my immediate reactions.

Maybe it can answer some questions or shed some light on the subject for those looking into this mod!

How long did it take to flash? I know MHD to flash on the N54 takes forever and you need a trickle charger.

Also, I can never remember, someone said you had to keep the door OPEN otherwise the car turns off? But in the video, the doors are shut, because you complained about the heat and the car never shut off?

I have a V3 too, got a amazing deal on it brand new, along with JB4 (which I am removing soon)

The flash took about 10 minutes on the N55. Did not need an external charger. When you turn the car on, only push the key into position, you don't have to press the button with your foot off the brake (the flash wouldn't start if I had the button press on with the engine off).

Cobb says to keep the doors shut, but if you heard that you have to keep them open, I am assuming you simply cannot shut or open the door once the process has begun.

Hope this helps.

Figured you would have to at least press the button (no foot on brake)

Good to know, might do this, this weekend.
Aggressive is 'faster' than Sport I take it?

Yes. The sport maps usually run lower boost.

Typical Stage1 vs Stock Power:
Stage1 Sport
Peak +3% HP / +11% TQ
Max. +10% HP / +14% TQ

Stage1 Aggressive
Peak +11% HP / +25% TQ
Max. +18% HP / +26% TQ

Yeah, just looked it up after posting lol

I installed it yesterday, daily driving, awesome, racing/wot, terrible if you are WOT, its like someone turned off the sport mode button near the end of the powerband and after the DCT shifts, very noticeable drop

Edit

I was dumb and installed aggressive FMIC (I do have a FMIc and CP), stage 1, noticed a few corrections only at the shift, and noticed spike in boost during the shift too ( I 'think' is normal) on 92 octane >.>

Flashed to simple stage 1 sport no fmic, been just driving since. will uninstall soon though til I get a tune ready
