Alpins Are Amazing
I had the 1 out lastnight, after driving my wifes Armada home from work. I swear the 1 with the alpins seemed more surefooted than the Armada with 4WD. Stopped WAY better than the truck. They are my first snow tire so I have nothing else to compare it to, I've had an old Bronco for years that I kept for winter, but she's off the road right now. Amazing tires.

I swear I was one of them, NEVER thought it would make that much of a difference, ist night and day. I'd like to try an AWD car with snows, has to be a monster in snow.

I LOVE my Alpins... absolutely amazing performance in very rough conditions over the past few days.

Good to hear. I have heard good things about those tires from a friend and he loved them. I used to have Blizzaks on my wife's A4 and it was incredible in the snow. Noe we have full snows on my wife MDX and it is awesome. We got up Whistler last year in a few DEEP snow storms!

Most cars will transform with winter tires. I've got Blizzack LM25's on my one and it did incredible for a RWD car. Snow tires are important no matter what you drive. Everyone is aware that acceleration is only part of driving and snow tires on all four is the way to go.
BTW - you mention about AWD cars with snows. I had a Subaru STI with Blizzack WS60's on all fours and it was insane in the snow. |

I have an 89 that I took out today so I could keep the 135 out of the snow. She's still running pretty well, although I'm planning on rebuilding the engine over my christmas break. Old trucks are great for doing things you don't wanna do in your caddy or bimmer like drive in the snow or haul materials.

My bronco still runs like a tops despite being only driven under stress, pulling pushing, hauling or on salt covered roads, so she's a but rusty, AND take a look at this pick and your see why. So the exhaust rotted out and she cant pass inspection and she cant be registered. Last week I put a new exhaust I picked up on ebay for 125 and we'll she if she'll pass inspection.
