Anyone else in Sydney rattling around after a couple of years?
Howdy folks, wondering if anyone else is experiencing rattles in their 125/135 from the shocking amount of holes and shart on Sydney roads?
I think my suspension's gotten harder too, almost as if the shocks or something in there has given up, the softeness that used to be there in the first little part of travel in the suspension has gone, and i'm constantly banging over things.. or maybe it's just after all the rain we've had, and resulting potholes, it's impossible to drive around without smacking through holes in the ground? having it serviced by Andrew at ALS next month, guess he'll let me know if anything needs replacing.

H&R sways probably not helping much either.. would have a tough time getting warranty on the suspension if there was any problem.

haven't seen you around for a while
i actually had my 1er in for a rattle service about a month ago. something came loose behind the dash and it took north shore bmw 3 hours to get to it and fix it! there are still a few other rattles but none as bad as that one. no suspension mods here so it's just a general quality issue we have to put up with i guess |

I've been driving
Have had some great drives up the old pacific highway, starting coming up the pacific highway through the lower north shore, then onto Bobbin Head rd, and all the way through to the old Pacific Highway then up 10km or so past the Hawkesbury, that's gotta be one of my favourite drives. Also a few drives down south through the Royal National park, but generally taking it easier there as there are a lot of cyclists (myself being one of them on occasion). My suspension is banging around heaps at the moment. Annoying. Well, will see if a set of Z1 star specs, or maybe RE-11's solve it hehe. I've got a rattle in the rear of the car, i think it might be something buoncing around inside one of the speakers or something, need to get the lady love to sit in the back and suss it out for me one day.

i forgot to mention my 'ticking' as well! mine is on the front passenger side. BMW still can't work it out.. They took the whole left side apart and put it back together again and still happens.
I complained to BMW HQ and ended up talking to someone here. I had that many problems i thought i bought a lemon. I feel like the 1's were built very cheaply. |

I also think the 1er's are a little cheap in built quality after owning one, but I do love the power they produce. |

JB PLEASE keep us posted.
I went to Sylvania (just in case you are in Syd) and they couldn't work it out after 2 attempts. yeah the car has the best all round package against it's competitors, she wanted convertible, i wanted power and handling.. it was either a SLK or a 135...hmmmm hahaha |

Not the best build quality overall (130i pre LCI) but it is nonetheless a beauty of a little car with grunt and handling Ok and a quirky looking rear end.. |
