First BMW or not?

First new car purchase.
First BMW (for me).

There have been a limited few BMWs in the family (parents have a '98 Z3 in the rather rare turquoise-green color, aunt has an E46 328i Coupe), but this will be my first. I've had a Subaru ('86 RX) and two VWs ('98 GTi VR6, '02 GTi 337). The 1er allows me, finally, to purchase a new BMW without feeling overwhelmed by car payment/insurance.

This will be my first BMW. My mom had a 528i that I learned to drive on though. I've been specifically a GM car guy lately. I run a GM car/truck club for all of Florida. I just recently broke the news to them that I'm selling one of my Pontiacs for a BMW. LOL

First BMW for me and I plan on sticking to BMW. This will be my DD for now. In the future I plan to also pick up a nice z4, m3 and an x6 or some suv for those crappy days.

I have yet to place an order for a 1... waiting until I graduate. But if I do, which seems very likely, this will be my second BMW and first new car.

First car: '85 635 CSi
Current car: Swapped '92 Civic CX

The 135i will be my 5th BMW. Here are my past BMWs.
1981 E21 320i UK Spec.
1986 E30 232is UK Spec.
2000 E46 323Ci
2004 E85 Z4 3.0i
I am sold on the BMW product. Cost is a little more than comparable cars but the quality and performance can't be beat IMO.

As my pen name would suggest, this is my first Bimmer at the age of 52. I thought about buying a used 2002 back in 1981, but bought a used Peugeot instead. The Peugeot was great when it ran, which was not that often (as demonstrated by my then $200/month repair bills). Wish I had bought the the 2002. The 135i (which should be delivered nextg week) is my retribution.

First BMW was a brand new E30 318is 1991 vintage. Was Black Metallic and tan interior. My SGM 135i 2008 is my best car to date. I love this thing!!!!!!!!!!!

First car and my first by extension, my first BMW. Had an 01 Merc Mountaineer w/ HO package, but that was my sister's and I just borrowed it. I love my SGM Vert, hope to have it for many years to come.
