Is this covered under warranty?

What are the little gouges above and below the steering wheel buttons? Could this be something you started? That may be part of the answer of warranty yes / or no.

yeah i know someone already said it, but yes it's covered. i brought mine in for that....they fixed it perfectly!

Does anyone know how bad does it have to peel before they will replace it? Mine just barely started after 3 years and certainly want it covered before the warranty runs out in 1 year. Of course, I do not want to start peeling more off and going to the dealer to find out that it is NOT bad enough to be covered.

Do they have to take off the entire steering wheel to fix this issue? I noticed it on my car right after I got it

I had one scratch about 1cm (wasn't even peeling yet) and they replace the whole trim under warranty.

What actually causes this? Rings? Mine is a 2008 and shows no signs at all of any wearing, no rings on my hands.

I just purchased my 08 135 and this is happening on it. Its really the one flaw on the interior that bothered me, so its good to know its under warranty.
