Brand new lease...Would swaping out the OEM tires now be crazy?

My OEM tires have 2200 miles on them. The car is leased for 36 months (2 months in). Assuming that the stock tires will not last the duration of the lease term should I just swap out the crappy RFT's now, and install Mich PSS or other grippy non-RFT's? That would allow me to spend the money today on tires I'm actually going to get to use and enjoy, rather than spending the money to replace tires a few months before the car is returned off lease. Once the "new " tires are used up I can than re-install the OEM tires trough the end of the lease.

Thoughts?

If you have the money to do it, I say go for it. Definitely more grip to be had out there with some different size/brand tires.

It actually makes the most sense if you pair them with new wheels and store the stock ones until you have to trade the car back in. That way you have the OE for tires and wheels in pristine condition and won't get dinged.

Buying a new set of runcraps will cost you a fortune so don't bother - put the OEMs in storage and get a set of PSSs.

Better grip, softer handling. After my set of Michelin Pilots are torn-up, I am going back to run-flats, but then again I am a vert so your experience might vary.

Interesting, I'm assuming the turning is worst with PSS??
