Installing BMW TPMS with Adapters

For anyone who had questions about how to install BMW TPMS with a valve stem style adapter refer to the following. Some wheels will vary based on design and these are primarily used on multi piece that have no drop for the TPM to sit in or have a valve in the center of the barrel.

First select style of valve you need. If the wheel has a hole in a rivet postion then it will take a 90deg. angled valve with proper length to reach through the face of the wheel.

Also be sure and check for brake rotor clearance if using a straight valve:

Locate valve hole:

Install hoop on inner barrel:

Add correct size valve stem:

Tighten to make seal. Install sensor through hoop with included stem nut (just as installed through a valve stem hole on traditional wheel):

Make sure sensor is positioned in lowest relationship to the barrel:

Secure and install tire.

Pressurize and check for sensor operation.

Thanks to the guys at ShopTPMS for the pics. Post any questions.

Thanks
