While the lady was def. a nutcase and is only being further provoked by getting national air time, I don't think the news lady had the best rebuttals either since it seemed more like of her opinion than factual evidence in some cases.

It's so sad to imagine that there are people with so much hate in their hearts. When I hear people like this it makes me feel despair for the world. As full of anger and hate as the Westboro church is, they don't hate us enough to blow themselves up in a crowd of children.

I can't believe the TV execs keep putting her on. I think TV exec like the Shock factor but all we are doing is giving this disturbed woman a forum to spread her hate. Although I have an more underlining question.... how is it this woman and her group get SOOOOOO MUCH FUNDING to show up EVERYWHERE. She has been to the NorthEast (Massachusetts funeral and Maine funeral that were more than 3 months apart). Who is paying for this crap?

I think that giving this nut air time helps because it sways public opinion when people are deciding whether or not to support a ban on protesting at military funerals (or funerals, for that matter, frankly).

I agree that the anchor woman is definitely hot, though she got too flustered to come up with great on the spot responses. I think I would have been, too. She reminds me of one of the assistant DA's in Law & Order.
