My speedo is off...I use my gps for actual speed. My needle won't go as far as his either...it just barely tips the 155 tick mark.
edit: his sig says dinan2. The dinan tune removes the limiter...ask me how I know lol.

Good run!
In addition, you can check your 'effective' and 'reported' speeds in the diagnostics menu some people call it easter-egg menu as well. One catch is, they are reported as in metric system. It take 5-10 seconds to switch to this menu, and I almost do turn it on every-time I get into my car, I like watching my coolant temp, gas tank stats, usage etc again all in SI.

It touched 160 and was still pulling strong, but I ran out of road.

His signature says he has Dinan Stage 2, which would explain why he's no longer hitting the limiter.
If the menu you're talking about the one utilizing the trip-reset button?

It's amazing how little drama these cars make to get to 100+mph. I've gotten up to 110 on 288 and it felt like I was going 75. I've never gone over 145, that's around where my STi redlined in 5th gear, didn't feel the need to shift into 6th and keep going. |
