Not sure about psi, but I am running 2.6 bar all round.
Probably increase back to 2.8 now, 2.6 provided more grip in the snow.

49 psi ?
Dude, if that's the case then that is dangerously high. Maximum rating for most tyres tend to be around 51psi. So in your case you only need a warm day or a normal drive and the pressures would start to exceed 51psi. You will wear out your tyres prematurely but worse yet would be a blowout. Get it down to 36-38 psi asap! Hopefully your tyres are not damaged (imagine pulling on an elastic band past it's elastic properties - permanent damage or snap) |

I used to use 34 psi but each time I visit my dealer they bring it down to 30 PSI !!!
I use 32 now and asked the dealer not to touch it. my wheels are 17" though

fyi lads:
Thank you for your email to BMW Customer Information. The tyre pressures for your BMW are shown as follows Front: 215/40 R18 2.6 bar/37.7 psi Rear: 245/35 R18 2.6 bar/37.7 psi The air pressure is the same for both axles. I trust this guidance is useful but please do not hesitate to contact me should you have further queries. |
