2009 BMW 135i  [0.00]
Got this from my dealer today. Says the retrofit will be announced shortly. Also had a picture of a "performance edition" badge.

BMW Performance Edition Package

If you’re thinking of buying a 2011 BMW 335i Sedan or 335i xDrive Sedan, there’s one option you should not pass up – the recently announced BMW Performance Edition, which adds 20 more horsepower to your vehicle. It’s a stunning performance value.

BMW has announced the new package option to help make the Ultimate Driving Machine a little more “ultimate.” The BMW 335i and 335i xDrive models already offer knockout performance from their TwinPower Turbo Technology inline-six-cylinder engines. With 300 hp and 300 lb/ft of torque from 1,500 to 5,000 rpm, a 335i can accelerate from zero-to-60 mph in just 5.4 seconds (manual transmission). The Performance Edition boosts hp to 320 and torque to between 317 and 332 lb/ft, depending on transmission choice. It cuts 0.2 seconds from the zero-to-60 mph time, and the additional power and torque make the car feel even more responsive in every day driving.

Passing power is up as well with a 335i Performance Edition, accelerating 0.5 seconds quicker from 50 to 75 mph. BMW enthusiasts will quickly notice that the 320-hp rating of the BMW Performance Edition matches the output of the 335is, which is not available in a sedan version. So now, you can have 335is performance in the 335i sedan.

The Performance Edition also adds black kidney grilles for a sporty appearance, and a Performance Edition badge conveys the car’s newly gained power boost.

If you already have a BMW 135i or 335i, a retrofit version of the package will be announced shortly. While doing that, why not also take a look at the available BMW Performance Exhaust and Aero Kit components, carbon fiber mirror caps and rear deck spoiler? It’s an opportunity to add a sportier edge and personal touch to your BMW.

For your newly purchased car, the $550 package price can be added into the financing. The Performance Edition upgrade on a newly purchased vehicle is of course covered by the BMW four-year/50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

The BMW Performance Edition contains the all-new “Power Kit”. BMW Power Kits are the only form of engine “Tuning Kits” approved and covered under the BMW of North America limited warranty. Power Kits are designed and tested by BMW engineers to provide the highest power increase without sacrificing reliability.

This special offer is valid for a limited time through the end of October 2011 on newly purchased vehicles.

The stage 1 is just a software upgrade...so you're just paying for coding. I posted a few replies in the Engine section. I contacted 2 local dealers in Cleveland, OH and got 2 completely different prices AND a ton of confusion for both me and the SAs I talked to.

Stage 1: Is anywhere between $599 - $985. The $599 is + labor (They couldn't tell me) + tax. The $985 is + tax.

Stage 2: Is additional hardware:
New Oil Cooled
New Air Ducting
New Fan
Software tune

The prices they gave me were between $1200, $1850, $2167 and $2851. I still don't know what's included in the different pricing.

This was with the M-Sport bumper. You also need to have the newer MSD81 DME. It may be extra if you have the MSD80 DME.

$1200 was just parts + labor + tax. They quoted me 9 HOURS OF LABOR. NINE
Total price was $2851 + tax. That was Stage 2 with MSD81 DME.

Like I said, A LOT OF CONFUSION. The 1st SA I spoke to had less than zero clue or interest in my questions. The 2nd SA was very interested, but didn't know much without having to research it and cross-check it through his various books/manuals/catalogs.

Either way, I think I'm OUT for this. I'll pay $500ish, but that's it!

I'm curious how much labor I can save, if I tell them to throw the kidneys and the badge in the trunk. I'll just sell that stuff on ebay.

Wouldn't that be equivalent to the 335is? Here is part of the C/D review:

the 335is gets 320 hp and 332 lb-ft torque from the twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six engine, and an overboost function allows for seven-second blasts of 370 lb-ft of torque. Unlike the regular-grade 2011 335i, the 335is sticks with the older twin-turbo engine for the simple reason that BMW engineers had more experience tuning it.

To make the 335is a track-worthy vehicle, BMW upgrades the cooling system with an additional radiator and beefs up the engine mounts. Inside are standard sport seats, steel pedals, an M Sport steering wheel, and textured aluminum trim. Between the seats sits the familiar six-speed manual, but its modified here to have shorter throws. For those who prefer not to shift for themselves, BMW is offering its seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The DCT system is identical to the one in the M3 and comes with steering-wheel-mounted paddle-type shifters.
