Anyone running E90/92 spec coilovers
As titled, anyone running E90/92 spec coil overs? I know they bolt straight up to our suspension no problem. Only difference are some slight mis-matched adjustments (in which im not even 100% sure of) due to the differences in weight I believe.
There are so many more used coilover options on the e90post forums. So I'm wondering, any of you 1addicts rocking e90/92 spec suspension? I'm eyeing the KW V1/2/3's mainly but open to any other quality brands as well. |

I would guess that they are generally different spring rates...heavier cars generally have heavier spring rates

I'm primarily looking at some KW V2/3's as their pretty common and what I consider to be fairly high quality. Anyone know the spring rates on those? |

My price range is around the $1200 ball park. Ohlins would be too pricey for what I am looking for.
I've been checking the E90post sale forums lately and honestly the only brand that ever pops up are KW's & ST Speed Tech coils. Which also happen to be under the same company. How much more are the spring rates for the E90/92 spec coils vs. the E82 1-series ones. I looked at the thread on e90post and I see the rates here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=235797 Lastly, since I'm looking on the used market. How long do coils generally last? |

wow, yeah, fronts are 7kg/mm (390lb/inch) rears are 11kg/mm often (615lb/inch) for mine as you see in that post, it varies per brand/model 3 series and 1 series coilovers are 100% identical though (spring rates and all) unless you customize them |

Just an update on some added information for all you guys. I still hadn't found my definite answer as to the differences are between the E90/92 vs E82 coilovers on the KW/SpeedTech [made by KW, essentially same as V1] brand. So I decided to shoot an email to the company directly.
What I had sent: Quote:
