BOV and BMW Dealership
Hi Guys,
just wanted to get some feedback from some members. Do any of you take your cars 'under warranty' to BMW with BOV's installed? I am curious if the BMW Computer that they connect your car to can detect them? Im not phased with the dealership / mechanics seeing it... they never hassle me about my car, but just don't want the computer to spit out an alert saying the car is modified Any thoughts guys? |

I guess it's safe to say most of us don't give a shit about taking our car's for a dealer visit with mods. At the end of the day it's our fucking car's and we'll do whatever the fuck me want.
All this swearing really did feel good. |

Since my BOV is as loud as fuck, I don't think them sticking in a computer is how they're gonna find out. You can hear it from a mile away

It's not a matter of BMW Australia black marking you and "voiding your warranty" if they notice any modification or installation of aftermarket parts.
The non-OEM part has to be related to the issue to affect warranty and only then if BMW dealership makes an issue out of it. Also people here tend to over-worry about BMW refusing to repair something under warranty. If they do then you just pay for the part/service cost yourself. So what? If you're paying for BMW to service your car then the price of a BMW part ex-USA installed/repaired by a good independent will be a doddle.
